Stop your texting, stop your typing
Go outside, I find that exciting
Stop your worrying, stop your fretting
Sit under that tree, feel it strengthening
No more inbox, no more email
Look up, see the birds soar and sail
No more twitter, no more Facebook
Across your toes a ladybug, have a look
Stop your frowning, stop your sorrow
It will always be better tomorrow
Stop that Google, stop that game
Look around, it’s never the same
Turn off the computer, turn off the TV
The flowers are blooming, can’t you see
Turn off the stove, turn off the music
Open your heart or you may lose it
Shut off your iPad, shut off your phone
Look around, you’re never alone
Turn off your mower, turn off your blower
The sun is starting to slowly lower
Set down the Kindle, set down the remote
Listen to the crickets and take a note
Put down that laundry, put down that spoon
The lightning bugs should be out soon
Shut out the honking, shut out the beeping
The sound of the wind is what you’re seeking
No more hammers, no more nails
Slow down and find that magical trail
Turn off that oven, turn off that eye
Smell the roses before they dry
Release the clutter, release the clatter
A beautiful world is what you’re after.
