My Unclothed Friends

With each breeze you stand so strong
The last of your leaves will fall before long
It’s raining colors of an autumn rainbow
To gently cover my battered path below
Your canopy now lies under my feet
Back to our Mother your leaves retreat
Through their death we will see life again
For this I will not feel sorrow or complain
They have given way to a wider view
Early evening stars a shining debut
So sleep now my unclothed friends
Into sweetest dreams you will descend.
