Morning

Every sunrise
Ready for life
World sings “wake up”.
Trees make no movement
There is no wind
Barely a sound.
Golden beams criss and cross
Through the branches
Sprinkling onto the grass.
I lie awake.
Quiet.
Still.
Don’t shatter the moment.
I am warm, I am loved, I am safe.
Best of all
I am joyous inside and out.
This is my time to shine.
Morning, crisp and bright.
“Sit up” whispers the earth.
Face the day, your fears.
But for the present
This is my solace, my comfort.
Sun shines on the walls
Reflects off the window.
Goddess bless the dawn.
Wake up.
Sit up.
And life goes on.
Author's Notes: The early morning is a wonderful time. I love to sit with my coffee and just watch the sun come up on a saturday. Enjoy and Blessed Be!
