The Festival of Samhain marks the ending and beginning of the Celtic Year. Samhain (pronounced "Sow-in") comes from the Irish Gaelic and means "Summers End".
Samhain is approaching,
The summer is at an end,
We are learning to leave the old behind,
and bring on new beginnings.
That may be difficult for some,
but it should be about embracing
those new beginnings that are about to unfold.
Samhain, as the beginning and
ending of the yearly cycle,
can be viewed as a type of
"New Years" celebration.
Its about the "new"and not holding onto the old!
Go with open mind, heart and spirit,
Let go of the Old, and
Embrace the New!
When you let go of the old,
You will be open for the new.
The unknown is scarey to some,
A challenge to others, and
excitement to most.
I always go with the unknown,
It gives me the thrill of discovery,
the sense of renewal, and the
ability to do better.
Emprace Samhain this year
as a fresh new start to becoming
More one with nature, returning to
your roots, and seeing the pure light
in yourself and those around you!
Author's Notes: I will embrace the new and let go of the old. This is a magnificent time of the year!
