I Am Free To Be Me

Walking in the shadows of my mind
I see a silhouette of a life
A life that was full of happines,
children, and organizational living.
It was my old life,
the years spent raising my children,
being a good wife,
being a good organizer of other's lives,
Never living my own life.
Three years have passed since I left,
the security, the fullness of that life.
I left because I couldn't find myself.
I was lost in my unfullfilled marriage,
I was lost in my children's lives,
I was lost in a world that I just didn't want anymore.
I stepped out of that marriage,
I finished raising my children,
I wasn't lost anymore.
I found freedom of mind, spirit, and body.
I became free of all those weights
that were from my other life.
I can't even tell you who that other person is anymore.
Now, I am me, AmberMoonstone,
teacher, poet, designer, lover of life
and all living creatures.
I have found myself,
I will never lose that again.
I am myself,
It is wonderful!
Author's Notes: Life should be like angel food cake, Light and sweet.
I shall live a light and sweet life from this day forward.
