As I glance out the window,
I begin to realize.....
It is winter, and everything seems to be dead.
It's amazing to think,
that in a few short months
everything will be reborn,
regrown, and colorful again.
This is how I look at the
renewal of the winter months:
It is a time to let thoughts, feelings,
and emotions of negativity and pain die,
and allow new emotions and
health to grow in your life.
When you see nature doing this
without any thoughts to the process;
You are acutely aware,
of how simple it can be.
Nature is our teacher,
Just open yourself and learn
from its simplicity.
I will be renewed this winter,
to let all old habits die with the
snowfall and frigid temperatures,
so that my life will be reborn
with the warmth and renewal of spring.
I won't squander this opportunity
for growth and renewal.
Come snow, come frigid temperatures,
I shall willingly accept you,
till the renewal of spring.
Author's Notes: Its amazing what a positive outlook can have on you. I have always dreaded the winter months, not this year, I am looking forward to using these cold months, as a way to grow and be renewed.
