A Tribute to Mr. Toler a victim of the Sago Mine
by Amber Moonstone
Age Group: Adult
"A Tribute To Mr. Toler"
On Friday the thirteenth,
I shall pay tribute to a man
That was lost to us in the Sago Mine collapse.
In his final breath he sent this message
to his loved ones:
Tell all - I [will] see them on the other side..." "It wasn't bad, I just went to sleep." And at the bottom: "I love you."
He was in his darkest hour,
his last waking breath,
but wanted to send a message.
The human spirit is an amazing wonder.
He isn't gone to all of us,
he has moved into a new world,
a world free from pain, hunger,
depression, anger, and hurt;
but not love.
He will watch over his family,
be a guiding force for his children,
and always show them love and lightness.
Mr. Toler thank you for your wonderful
message of hope for life on the other side.
We can see from his message,
that he is peaceful and content.
"It wasn't bad, I just went to sleep."
How much more peaceful can one go.
He wasn't in any pain,
just went to sleep.
This is such a comforting message
and he knew that it would ease
some of the pain for his loved ones
that are left in this world.
I pay tribute to a very brave man,
for knowing what to leave behind
in this hour of his family's needs.
He is a hero, a man to pay
Rest in peace and love and light,
Watch over your family and keep
them safe and well.
