*Loneliness*

"Loneliness"

Loneliness, is like a bird without it's flight,
It feels like a never ending plight.
I feel loneliness in my world,
crashing, as if it were hurled.
Why this loneliness for me?
It is something I wish to flee.
Like a bird without flight,
I am lonely tonight.
It is a feeling of despair,
and a restlessness unfair.
I have tortured my mind enough,
trying to undo these thoughts so rough.
I have unknowingly hurt someone, too,
because he wasn't you.
I still weep at night alone,
waiting by that silent phone.
That call will never come in,
and I know that I must begin,
to mend this lonely life I lead
and stop this pain, so I must plead,
to be released from this loneliness
and return to my world of wholeness.
Author's Notes: Loneliness can wear you down, it can make you feel so depressed, but I shall strive to overcome this loneliness once more.
