The Words Of A Split

The forest has become my home
I find the shadows of tree’s to bring emptiness
Exceeding the lonely spaces that I roam
All that lies forgotten-
And left alone
She’s forgotten her golden apple
And it rots in the fading day
Fallen so far from its tree
Seeking for a place to stay
Battered and bruised I flee from the Swan
So graceful in all her majesty
Unknowing of what’s been done to me
I am only a wistful thought on the eve of tomorrow
Bringing only pain and leaving in sorrow
The sweet grass beneath my feet
Is the barrier between an earthy grave
And a star filled sky
Too broad for my reach
And held by time
The forest has become my prison
Rooting itself deep within my core
There’s no reason for me to escape
I’ve nothing to live for-
Now breathe for me, Precious,
And open your eyes.
Speak to me, Precious
You cannot die
I’m not a savior
I deserve no praise
But you don’t deserve
An Earthy grave
A time so long in passing
Still fresh in my thought
How I had loved you
And how easily you forgot.
