Goddess' Tears

No one understands how much
Is ripped from me
When pieces of my life
Scatter like leaves from the tree
So far, so lost
Paleness, transparency
No longer does any material bind
The whole of me
The slow lapping of the pool,
The fading of the light
Reveals the gaps,
Exposing them to the night
Stolen away,
Love child belonging of me
But not of my blood,
Never again destined to see
Pale shadows swirl,
Disturbing the wholeness
Of the pool's reflections,
Reflections that mirror the Goddess
Whorls of ripples mix
White light with black fears,
Making whole the reflection,
The reflection of myself mirroring the Goddess' tears
