I Have A Voice, I Am Speaking My Truth

So much pain dwells within
like a mountainous cavern
awaiting discovery
of the sordid past that once lived
but was buried so deeply
that only a volcano could clean it out.
Tonight marks a turning point
an epiphany of painful realization
that the old is no longer working,
and a new way of life must prevail
I look to the sky for answers
from the Universe as to what to do next.
I can only survive one day at a time,
to find my life slipping away,
with no knowledge as to why
the Universe is allowing such pain
to harbor within my cavernous
heart that has been deeply
embedded with painful memories.
Thoughts of these memories,
brings pain to my present state of mind,
rendering me helpless to regain stability
in an unstable world.
There is so much sadness,
poverty, and hatred
among people today.
It hurts my spirit to realize all that has
occured over these last few months.
It is without a doubt the most devastating
time of our American history.
There is so much loss and pain,
that peace and love is hard to find.
I struggle everyday to stay positive,
To spread joy and peace has become
a burden of sorts. No one is listening,
No one feels joy or hope,
the media is spreading doom and gloom
and it must end.
We need this cavern of pain to cease,
We need hope and joy to replace
all the negativity and doom that is contageous and running rampant.
I have a voice, I am speaking my truth,
I want the Universe to hear my cry
for Peace, Love, and Light,
to be restored for us now and for
our future generations to come!
