To Hekate For Illumination

Hekate Chthonia
Dark Lady of the Crossroads
Timeless One, Ancient of Days
You who have been since the dawning of time
It was you who was esteemed so highly by all the other gods
That they made you Queen of Heaven, the Earth, and the Underworld
You who were deemed by Zeus himself to be
Guardian of midwives, mothers and children
You who are protectress of the outcast and forgotten
Come unto me and I will offer Thee kykeon
As in the days of the Eleusian Mysteries
I will offer Thee saffron, garlic and cakes of honey
I will eat and drink in your honor awaiting your guidance
Hekate Phosphoros, Mystical Queen
Mistress of Magick, Nocturnal One
Teach me the ways of witchery
Grant me the sight to divine my destiny
Illuminate my path with your torches
Lead me as you did Persephone
Through the dark caverns of the underworld
And back into the light once again.
