The Lonely Witches' Chant

Age Group: Adult
Alone in the dark, she waits to hear
The call of Goddess, so far, so near
In the meadow, she starts her dance
Of passion, lust and sweet romance
The sounds of nature floods her soul
Merging with her, making her whole
Still she longs for another to hear
Her sweet song of those she holds dear
Weaving spells of companionship and more
She waits for them upon the shore
Her power is grand, strong and true
Yet as beautiful as the morning dew
Seeking within, seeking without
The Mysteries of Old, she has no doubt
For when she calls, they know her name
Upon the candle, the flickering flame
Alone she is, but alone she’s not
Upon her chest, the Witches’ knot
She calls her sisters and brothers near
To her side, they have no fear
With her broom, she takes flight
Soaring across the satin sky
Painting with stars and magick true
Leaving behind beautiful hues
Look within, look without
Have no fear, have no doubt
Your power will stir and begin to grow
Alone you’re not, and this you’ll know
Merry meet and merry part
May love of Goddess fill your heart
Alone you are, alone you’re not
Upon your chest, the Witches’ knot
Go if you must, stay if like
Upon the blade of the Witches’ knife
Blessed you are and blessed you’ll be
With our parting, remember me!
