Cinny, My Beloved
by Silverlight
Age Group: Adult
Here you have sit before me, Beloved
Dark walnut eyes on a curved face of gold
With a pink button nose to kiss, Loved
And a long flaxen body to behold.
Why love such a creature so small and lithe
When a blue-eyed dove will do just as well?
Because my golden love is so sweat, blithe,
And these white doves will bind me in a spell.
Need I say more, my lovely gold creature?
My heart has gone to you, and no other
It’s in your eyes; how you show this feature
That’s caught my heart, and the love you smother.
I’m yours, though you go over the rainbow
My Mustela putorius furo.
