Do you want to talk?........

I am standing in a old cemetery.....it is very old!
I stand there, then I start to walk, looking and searching for
the one boy that I have "spoken" with in this yard.....
His photo is on his tombstone, he is in
a dark tuxedo, with a white shirt and a black tie.
He has a slightly round face,
with dark brown hair..
He looks so happy.
He was happy, so long,
so long ago.
but, that was then, and this is
now.
I say to him "Hey! I am back!"
"I told you I would come back, and say hello!"
"Remember me?" I always ask him.
"Well, you're still lookin' good ! Such a
handsome fella! " I always look at this jovial
smiling face! I look at what is "around" him.
One time, there was a little plastic turtle
on his grave. I wonder what significance
it had for him......
It's a nice gesture....
One year, he had a Christmas tree with
ornaments! I thought that that was
a great gesture! Somebody's thinkin'....
thinkin' hard about him.
It's not like he's really gone....because
he's still there!
SOmebody can always go and greet him.
SOmeone can always go to him and smile
down at him, and say "I love you!"
It doesn't mean that he won't hear that.....
cuz' maybe he does!
I remember searching just about every
where for him one year...because I couldn't
remember where he was...I felt frantic...
I just wanted to say hello, again!
I wanted him to know, that somebody
cared enough to make the trip, and
to let him know, that a person, who
never knew him in his life back then,
did care.......a lot!.
He looks like a nice person.
to be honest, he really does!
I tell him "I'll come back in a few..."
I start walking around...many of the
markers and stones are old, and
have been there for a long while...
I walk down a row or so, before
I see engraved pictures on the
stones of two young teens......
the people who do the stones
are good...because they must
have taken a photo of the person,
and recaptured that person
perfectly in black marble.
There's a girl and there's a boy,
Both smiling, light smiles.
Big grins, in fact.
I read their names, and I also wonder
what the heck happened!
It's dumbfounding to have to see
such young and remarkable
faces...on these two tombstones...
each one near each other...
I wonder if it was a car accident.....
it's so sad....I just stand, and I cry.
I cry for a couple of minutes...for them,
and maybe for all of the people
who will NEVER get to know them.
That is the way that I see this.
Always have .....
Probably always will......
I tell them "Hey! Don't ya worry,
I care about you...even though,
you and I do not know one another!
I care...okay?"
I bow my head in respect....and
I tell them, till the next time...
I will say hello another time!
I also tell them how sorry I am..
and that whereever they must be,
I sure hope that it's a greater place
then when they suffered.
I wish them love, peace, joy, and
I also wish them well!
I walk a little further, still seeing a
few more young people..and I show
my respects, same as I did with the
others. Then, I start walking back to
the first one, that I always greet.
"Hey!" I'm back! Well, It's been so
nice seeing you, it really has!" I have to go,
I say.....by the way, " You've got company
over there!" I say to him...quietly. "Maybe
you can console them....I think that they
might need a goodfriend now.....You can
help....you've been here a lot longer than
they have....
go for it!
"well, I gotta split! I 'll try to say hello, the
the next time I am around...okay? I will
NEVER forget you!" I tell him, and I throw
him a kiss! I just want him to know, that
he's not alone, and that somebody
like even lil ol' me, cares.....alot.
