Foods in the Frig'!

I opened up the "frig' and took a peek
the butter gave me a pat on the cheek!
I turned to glance at the milk at my side,
it gave me a wink, and tried not to
sigh.
I checked over the eggs, some were soft
some hard-boiled, some were just cranky,
and mean and were they spoiled!
The cheese stood "alone",
but not by her choice,
she had been put there,
and she just had no voice!
The hamburger was rotting,
the smell, was a bit, foul,
I said, "you 'd better leave,
or they'll shut the place down!"
The watermelon, dribbled,
on to the floor,
he said "Guess, I'll go,
leave open the door!"
The fruit, they laughed,
and seemed so merry,
"All of us are fresh, even the
berries!"
I closed the frig' door, and
thought of my foods,
some smelled devine, and
well, others quite "crude"!
I decided not to have anything
that night,
thought, I will go to bed, and
rest, I'm all right!
