Stubborn, angry, selfish me!

Stubborn, angry, selfish, ME!
I think that is what I am to be,
if I can't get my sh*t together,
I may end up sick , forever!
I can't let go of all
the grief, , , , the sense
of knowing, there's a
little relief!
I know not what I
have to do, so here I
am, armed with
my blues.
I hide inside, a silent
face, if I should
show, I'd be disgraced.
The anti- positive little me,
the hurting face, they
do not see.
I want to yell and cry
and wail, but, to no
advantage would this
bale, me out of grief, and
sorrow plus, so tape
my mouth, and watch me
hush!
I cringe and sob, in
little gasps, the knowledge
of danger has me aghast...
Diabetes and lupus, they
both can kill, I want to
ignore this, and really will, ...
my body to strengthen,
and bulldoze thru,
all of these feelings,
including my blues!
But, stubborn, angry,
selfish me,
I listen n' hear, what
I refuse to heed.
There goes a toe,
a foot and more,
I will be dead, if I
ignore...all of the
right ways to take
the steps, in order
to get better and
to have more "pep"!
So , here I stand, thinking
up all my thoughts,
and realizing, that
I'm all I've got...and that
family and friends love me
too, so I will try hard to
make it thru!,

I have to constantly remind myself, NOT TO QUIT..even when I get really, really upset, over the illnesses.
