Flare Ups

Age Group: Adult
are strong , and
resilient, silent
stalkers of the
diseased body....
they are not
comforting to
have, nor to feel....
but, the pain,
Oh yes, it's
so very REAL!
Flareups, feel
at first, just mild,
but, eventually
they feel a bit
more wild!
They don't appear
to be much worse,
then gradually,
suddenly, it's like a
curse!
Slowly, carefully,
they move in
my system, they
"party on" and
I'm inprisoned!
At night, I can feel
the back ache pains,
the arms, the legs,
they feel more
strained, my hands,
my fingers, they
feel "twisted", I
wish to earth,
this pain be
lifted....
instead I
sleep, and fight
as well, to hinder
the pains and
not scream or yell,
with rest and much
rejuvination, I'll
change the illness
and my situation.
So when I've rested,
a long while, I can
stand up and slightly
smile...the sun is
shining, the pain
has gone, and I look
forward to moving on!
But, every once
in a bright
blue moon, I feel those
pains, and I know too
soon, that it is time to
sleep and rest, and
this will ensure some
days of zest!

I have been really aching lately, and I am not sure
why...it might be the fact that I have diabetes...and also the itching from disoid lupus has been really, really getting on my nerves, lately! But, stress is a key factor to managing ANY illness, as well as getting enough sleep (which I don't get!!) and eating the right healthy foods (of which I have to!) :- ( and or :-) !!!!!
But, I wrote this to show how lupus can make you feel ..and TRUST ME, it DOES hurt, even if mild!!!!
SO, if you suffer from Lupus, I am sorry...because I know, first hand some of the pain....I hope you get better soon..as I cannot say"I hope it goes away, !"
