A Fable I Tell.....

For so many years, I
thought, that you were
"the one, " but, we fought,
and even then, I knew
that it wasn't to be , with
you....
years and years later,
I was, still in love, with
my thoughts, of you
goin' round and
round in my mind,
but, I should have
ignored them
each time,
for you had moved
on, and then some
and you never
ever felt that
lonesome...
Time was
my path to heal
but, I never wanted
to "get real", and
I always thought
that you'd be
there, waiting for
me , and that you
still cared...
But, No, I was
the fool, in deep
love, that could
only see cupids,
and angels above,
I didn't see that
our lives changed
and that life was
rewritten and
had changed.
So, after searching
and looking for you,
I found that everything
was all askew,
You and your life
had really moved
on, and our life and
my love was quite
GONE..!!
As painful as it
might seem,
I was able to
hold in my scream!
I turned around
so very fast, and
saw that I could now,
leave my past!
I was leaving
a rather horrible
obsession, one
that I hadn't known
was in my
possession!
I waited till I felt
just right, and when
that time came, I
found to my delight,
a love that was so
pure and kind, and
I knew that
this one was
truly mine!
Sometimes we all
have to learn, things
we'd rather not,
because it may burn,
inside of our hearts,
and
inside of our minds,
it is a lesson to hear
and a burden to bear...
But, if we are wise,
and we love ourselves,
we can learn to
put our past on the
upmost top shelves.
I've moved on from
that pain, and I feel
really great,
I have no ill wills, nor
a reason to hate...
I learned my lesson,
and I have
learned it well,
now it's just
a fable that I can
still tell!

I was thinking about a guy that I would have pathetically "died" for...which thank the Gods and Goddessess I did not! He wasn't "worth" that much effort!
But, the reason I was writing about him, , was because I had written to a young guy, age 15 that was sooo in love with a love of his life..and I had read that he wanted to kill himself. (maybe because he wasn't allowed to see her anymore..I am not sure, ) however, . I hope he never kills himself!! I just basically told him this story of how I wanted to be with this person soooo badly....but, I KNEW it wasn't to be, , and I am sooo very glad, it wasn't to be...because the person , that I had loved well, , I got a phone call from him, ) he was a MESS, and a CHRONIC LIAR, and just somebody who was "not in the cards for me, at all!!!" So, for me, it was indeed a huge lesson....
I also had a rather bad "obsession" (not trying to rhyme here lol!)
It took me a long , long time to :"Get over him"!! and I am just not kidding either.!!!!!...I guess mostly because he was such a cute guy..but, hey! that ain't love!! Ya know? That just isn't love! (he was abusive and most unkind to me, ...and really, really immature!)
so that's what I have to say about this!
