If I were a Witch....

Age Group: Adult
If I were a Witch,
I would not cackle,
like "some" people
think, I would
not put a
"spell" on you, or
try to steal your soul!
If I were a Witch, I
wouldn't put
a curse on you,
or your whole family,
I wouldn't try to take
your "Ruby Slippers",
or chase you from
one kingdom
to another!
If I were a Witch,
I wouldn't make
the trees talk,
or get the
little monkeys
to pick you up
to bring to my house!
Or turn you into a
ginger-bread child!!
If I were a Witch,
I wouldn't
wiggle my nose
, and get
exactly
what I wanted
or be able to fly
on a broomstick!I
wouldn't try to
"fatten"you
up, either!!
If I were a Witch,
I wouldn't put
hexes on anybody,
worship Satan,
cause problems,
sacrifice
people or animals...
.Put the "Evil Eye
" upon you..
If I were a Witch,
I wouldn't be green,
or have warts
on my nose,
sharp razor like teeth,
or funny looking dresses,
or striped socks,
or a fake magick wand!
No, If I were a Witch,
I would
more than likely,
look like
everybody else,
do some
of the same things
, that other people do,
day in, and day out!I
If I were a Witch,
I might have
a house full of kids,
or laundry, or pets,
or housemates.
..I might be a lot
like everybody else!
I might take an
exercise class,
or a dance class!
If I were a Witch,
I might say 'Hello!"
and How are you?
Have a nice day!"
I wouldn't always be
cross, cranky,
or crabby!
wouldn't write
your name, in the
sky with
my broomstick.
If I were a Witch,
I would
write nice stories
for children,
not try to entice them
over with gingerbread,
and sugar, and then
get them to stay
"forever" as my
little "slaves"!!
If were a Witch,
I might like to
just be your friend,
just talk with you,
learn from you,
never try to make you
do, or be, or l
learn things
that you didn't want
to know about...
If I were a Witch
...I would just be
the same old
person,
a human being,
who has
no violent,
or dangerous
or hateful
thoughts about
anybody ,
or anyone!
Just somebody
that is just
-like-YOU!
However, I will
be parking
my broomstick
in the parking lot!
