Working on Number One....!!

I had the "low I 'm so
hunnnnngry blues!"
But, I had to get up, and
eat somethin' soon, so
my stomach wouldn't
rumble or I'd pass out,
right at noon!
I had to stand on mah
feet, and walk down the
stairs, zap up mah food
and sit on a chair.....
cuz I felt those lowww
down hunnngggry, blues!
I took my blood sugars
jus' to make sure,
I wasn't THAT low,
cuz' that wouldn'
be perrrr.....
fectly fine if I fell, or
suddenly zonked out
there is nobody 'round
me, and I can't call
or shout.....
but, I was 108, now that's
low, but not bad, I waited
'fore I "ated" and then ate
feeling "stout"!
But, I hope that I never,
ever get to that serious
place, where I can't wake
up and use my mouth
on my face!
Or where I can't shake the
shakeys, or let the dizzies go away,
the hunger, the heartbeat, the
headachie ways....
I know that there's danger,
with diabetes, and some fear...
but, I keep on thinkin' posi'
so I can live my life here!
I just want to do, what I
need to do for me,
take care of me, well,
and just let things be!
I don't need to panic,
no I don't need to run,
gettin' my life together,
and workin' on
me, number one!

I admit, I got a little shakey today...as I hadn't eaten for 8 something hours...and that's already a no-no! But, I tend to get carried away on stuff...and I just don't wanna quit what I am doing..so, I don't eat..and then things happen that probably should not be happening!
But, I am doing better!
