Thoughts on my friend...

I am still reeling from the fact that my friend is gone...
I can't believe it.
Cancer is sooo ugly and it really hurts inside that she is no longer around us...she had this
great gift of love..and friendship to all of us!
I will really honestly miss seeing her happy shining face..around Berkeley..when I go back to visit.
It is soo hard to know that the people whom you grow up with...are NOT going to stay around forever...for me, it is just really hard to accept...I am still working on that...and still grieving..
I have just finished the last Harry Potter book...but, along with it...I grieve for not only the characters...but, the end of that series...and also my grief is just extended...because of the death of a good person...who will be sorely missed!
I got a whammy you might say!
This is not a "fun time" for me...but, I am trying to "smile and keep my spirits up" anyhow!
To those of you out there that have cancer, out there...keep thinking great thoughts..and work at getting well...because you never know what is around the corner for you...there are a lot of people out here in this world who though they may not even know you...they are "rooting " for you....including me!
To those who attend the sick...good job...keep it up....be inspirational and always a great friend to those who need you!!
