The Poem Peddler

Age Group: Adult
The Poem peddler
he walks to and fro
selling/or giving us the poems
that we may love and know!
"A dollar for a love poem
and dollar for somethin' sad..
"I do not sell the scary ones,
they are really BAD!"
"I'll give you one with happy
and one with funky prose,
I have some that are cheerful
and a few with tales of woe!"
He sets his old brown pack
down..and searches inside deep
he finds some pretty paper
and some that we may keep!
We all say thank you, and ask
if he would like to eat..
He sets awhile and rests and
shares some poem "treats!"
Then it's off on the beaten
path to sell some more
that day...
But, we love our Poem
Peddler, that shares his wares
"his way!"
