Why I Let You Go....!!

I finally realized WHY
I gave you up...
not only because of
your hurtful ways...
You could NEVER
be there,
for me
EVER!
I forgot.
That hurt.
I wanted you,
You were
OUT of my
REACH!
My memory is
showing me
the truth..
of what
would have
been!
Had I stayed
with you.
You would
not have been
home
or around
or with me...
always working.
always doing,
always busy...
I would have hated it..
felt miserable
been totally
ALONE!!!
Now, I know why!

I am finally remembering some things that were blocked from my memory...I don't know how the brain really works..but, wow!! I am now able to recall the WHY's of why a relationship went down the tubes!!
I had blocked out the pain for years...and I could NOT recall what had made the relationship as Unhealthy or as painful as it used to be.
I may still care about this person..but, I remember that it hurt me sooo deeply too!!
I hope that nobody has to go thru that much sadness and loneliness..ever!!!
