Reasons....

There were real reasons that
you could NOT or ever be MINE:
You could not be honest..
and you could not care..
You could not be loving..and
were hardly ever THERE!!
Had I married you..
would NOT have been
that "True!"
You were abusive
and mean.,
My life with you
obscene!!!
You had too much hate
and used things to "escape!"
You hurt me a LOT
I remember. but then, forgot.
It's funny what I recall
I blocked my mind and all..
Remembering the "reality"
I was most FORTUNATE
to LEAVE!!!

I recall a love that I loved for years and years..and actually I know that it does not make sense for me to WANT a person like this at all!!
I am happy in my relationship now..but, I just had not completely gotten over a person from my past...I need to FACE up to these issues ...and deal with it...and then forget them. (easier said than done..for me! and perhaps for a LOT of people as well!!)
