Why Can't I be Your Friend?!?

Why?
Why can't I be your friend?
I don't get that!
I don't understand..
Just because I stand in the
shadows of my past..
does NOT mean I cannot
stand in the presence too!
You really think I would stay
in those shadows to be near
you?
You honestly believe I would
rather take the past, and try to
"own" it?
Hate to say this..
But, that was a long time ago!!
Yeah., .I admit..I STILL have
feelings for you! I also have
a crush on you...and "maybe" it's only
on the person I left behind..but,
even IF I don't know you well now
does NOT mean that I can't
GET to know you!!
But, I guess, You refuse, ., ,
you refuse me..because I
still "need to live in the present".
Too bad you can't let me be me!!
Sounds as though YOU are the
Judgemental one!!
What a shame...what a loss!!

I really, really WISH that this person would just get a life...but, I guess if you are an "oddball" and or just totally UNwilling to bend..even a wee bit..friendship with this former person I know is "nevah gonna happen!" Well, honey, you can kiss my grits!!! ROFL!!!
