Rotten Apple

Life is as a rotten apple
Bright & crisp it may seem-but only its surface
Deep inside, it's rotten; explosion the only way to dismantle
Grown & ripened with poisoning especially you its sole purpose
Funny how even if the worm crawls from the apple under your watching eyes,
You are still ignorant to the devious surprise
Perhaps you saw the hole, but chose to fall deceived by the lies,
And stubbornly bite deep into the premeditation of your demise
And predictable, how when you discover the ruined progeny
You want to blame the world, as though it were their responsibility
Trudging blindly on everyone's happy party
Then expecting friends and strangers to accept a thousand apologies
