Numb and Heartless

Some kind of calm
Chills my heart till the pain is gone
My mind cant recall the devastating wrong
My emotions now out of reach like the tall palm
Only rifts of emotion left
I am a house where love is no longer kept
none again will know my depth
I recall how things may have been
But I don't want to think of it, so away they send
You know, I will never for another bend
I will never for another go to the... to my end
I hope no one will ever ask about that river I cross
In my dust they will be lost
Or frozen in my sudden frost
Out of the corner of my eye
I deftly spy
On a way to never again fall for another lie
Peer at a way to dodge my obvious demise
You do not understand---
That is not how I am!
To grasp on my lovers hand
To love forever, to cry without demand
So you'll have to look through my eyes
That you may comprehend why now its you I despise
Any way to make you realize
How you caused my heart to die.
