Being the Elements Daughter

I open my eyes to mornings grace
Never had I anticipated seeing this place.
The beauty here is wild and fresh
Different from where I was, in some ways, so much less...
Ironically, finally finding what I thought I wanted
Ended up being a grave to get caught in.
The things I want, the way I want to be...
It does not matter to the greatest Entities
I am thier daughter, I move at their will
But in my powerlessness grows strength greater still.
The way I have learned I could never again cower,
Remembering the lessons learned gives great power.
Learning with physical bruises and life blood
Scars for reminders, no tears left from the last flood
I am here still, and all that is left in me is Us.
I have died many deaths fighting for various lusts
I finally understand that to fight my Teachers path
Only causes me to burn in my own wrath.
I am lost in life without anything, anyone to hold on to
But I guess that has always been the way of solitude.
I hope one day the Elements lead the way
To a life where we are both content with each day.
I have learned to follow their will without fear
My path without fear is a mindstate I hold dear.
I am older now and stronger still
Than many people will ever feel.
Now I see my true path, the way I am to be
Through my many adversities, this way is to be free.
Author's Notes: Many very difficult ventures have taught me something I will share with my fellow practioners. Though sometimes the true path the Elements has laid before us does not make sense, in the end, it is the better one. Your life is not only your own, but a reflection of everything, everyones life you have touched and changed on the way to death.
