My Valkyrie

Ettins of despair
Lay slain at your feet
Your light, flooding air
Changed chill to soothing heat
Sorrow could not stand
In a face that full of smiles
Your victory, so grand
Over that which would beguile
A sword of joy unsheathed
To spill a saddened blood
It came in darkest need
Bringing happiness and love
Shadows seemed to lift
A quikening restored
What precious heart, your gift
And the lonliness destroyed
