Circle of Light

Circle of Light
Hidden in the shadows of the bonfires blaze,
I seek understanding through a tear filled haze.
What have I done to bring such reproach,
It was not my intention your spirit to encroach.
What happened within this province I heed,
For my spirit pains to understanding this need.
What caused this battle that none can ever win,
Who shall remember once the energy spins.
Be careful of the those caught in the mire,
Those whom cast their lies unto the fires.
And falsely call unto the night.
For they no longer seek the truth or light.
They repeat what they hear, be it truth or lie,
Waiting for others in pretence they pry.
To spread their lies within the hive,
For it’s not truth in which they thrive.
With wicked words set in trust,
They cut you to bleed within the dust.
While all the time they smile grin,
With deception dripping from their chins.
Do you not remember the burning times,
When lies were spoken by word of rhyme.
They judged us then by false beliefs,
Yet some have now forgotten that sorrowful grief.
Spirits of our old ones cry out in pain,
Never expecting Witches to play at this game.
We are sisters and brothers held by a past,
One to remember if our future is to last.
Who are we that round the circle stand,
In sorrow and shame desecrate this land.
By dishonoring those of magickal sight,
For within the circle we find true might.
How sad that in this new place we seek to be,
We are condemned for our spirits dance free.
You set in our judgment unto your on belief,
Yet in this verdict you can not find any relief.
How can I warn others of this childish ill,
To cast off the opinions of personal will.
Why place hate on those you don’t know,
For these are the seeds none wish to grow.
So for whatever wrong you think I have done,
Let it be gone with the rising of the new day sun.
I shall stand beside you in truth and light,
But I will not spread whispers or lies in the night.
Therefore let all gather in the Circle of Light,
As we speak words of wisdom, magick and right.
Calling forth our ancestors from beyond the veils.
Together giving honor as we let only truth prevail.
