Tragic Legends

Age Group: Adult
Time has held witness
to great civilizations,
who have written
tragedies about my
unstopable illness.
Legends of Hope,
magic and Love
flow from my pencil
all done to fill
the void inside.
What would it take
for you to say yes?
It's all yours.
Uphill battles are
over; words have
pushed the current
away causing a
lost inner balance.
The relentless search
for balance yields
only Hollywood truths
and Lost Kingdoms
behind nights curtain.
What would it take
for you to say yes?
it's all yours.
A hand extends to
you, yearning for
the chance of two
in an unknown place.
Take it now.
What would it take
for you to say yes?
It's all yours.
Here it is.
Take mine in yours.
Why can't you
see standing before
you, waiting?
Darkness enshrouds
making it difficult
to see what is
right, standing
before you.
What would it take
for you to say yes?
It's all yours.
Soft earth calms
waves of a chaotic
enigma destined for
continuous turmoil
hiding a secret.
Worlds are bound
by my fingers;
magic floods over
the shores of
consciencness anew.
What would it take
for you to say yes?
It's all yours.
I've poured my
soul out to you
and still solitude;
soon chaos will control
again; the waves stir.
The river accepts
its fate; following
on to accepting
lands finding its
balance along the way.
What would it have taken
for you to have said yes?
It could have been yours.
