This Is Me (Who I Am)

Age Group: Adult
The moon rises, and no one knows
None hear the call of the Lady
Around me, people hurry on
Fixed on their own lives, their own objectives
Can no one near me hear that call
That sings in the blood
And the healing light
In which I bathe, that draws my eyes ever upward
I am saddened for those who never look
To the skies at the night
The stars which seem to sing
And the Lady who rides the clouds
Like waves of the sea.
And so, ignoring those who cannot see nor hear
I raise my voice to the Lady
And pray for someone to come near
Who knows the call and heeds old magicks
That all thought were lost.
Surely I am not alone, among those who follow
Like sheep to the slaughter?
Come, my brothers and sisters,
Make thyselves known to me
So I shall not be alone in this harmony!
Author's Notes: This poem was written on 8/20/09, at 3:05 pm.
I am very proud of it, though my skills are rusty.
