Weight of the world

The storm quickly approaches,
the walls are closing in.
Life becomming hectic,
i don't know where to turn.
A gentle touch on my shoulder,
a ray of shining light.
Gives me hope, lifts my soul.
Prepares me for another day.
her beautiful face, his strong presence.
together they lift me up.
they give me the strength to carry on,
to support my fellow man.
they make it easier for me to bear my burden,
to shoulder my portion of the weight of the world.
