I saw a red ember
flying in the night
dying in its flight
slowly burning
a fiery flower
a smoky stem
falling toward me
like a wayward
star tumbling
in the moonlight
growing smaller
in its graceful
decent no
wind to hasten
it's demise
falling, this bit of
firework, on its
way to me,
to earth.
