Dark Places

I have been to dark places
seen sinister faces
I have even fine dined with a cat
but through the mist of it all
I somehow stood tall
and became one with the night as a bat.
I have been to dark places
seen sinister faces
I have even sailed the loneliest sea
but through the mist of it all
I somehow stood tall
and realized the night was for me.
I have been to dark places
seen sinister faces
I have even danced in life all alone
but through the mist of it all
I somehow stood tall
and took on the night as my home.
As the dark voices they say
so far and away
when the reaper comes calling for me
no more words will I say
no more light of the day
and forever in darkness I'll be.
Yes I have been to dark places
seen sinister faces
and realize the path I do roam
for the darkness to be
entwined forever with me
and forever to be all alone.
Author's Notes: As you see this is a lil tale of life - we all have our own perceptions on what will happen when we perish - you know our very last day - when we become one to one with the earth - so I decided to vision it and write on how my life will be seen on the other side - or perhaps I'll just be a haunted spirit stuck out there somewhere haha .....
