The Grave

Be forewarned of this devious tale. For the faint of heart may never recover from the haunting of this dark write. If and when you ever get the chance to sit and pen over a grave. Please do so . Its quite an experience that you shall never forget. Afterall it is just you and the silence of the night. With all the nocturnal sounds surrounding you. Alone. Shadows creep , sounds magnify , and you just listen. Awaiting - yes awaiting - for something that - well sometimes .... when you listen to the dark - an echo of dark illusion may just come and whisper in your ear .....
The Grave
It is twelve minutes past midnight
and you best be prepared
for you can not be frightened
nor eternally scared.
Those grim shadows pass by
with those voices you hear
reminiscing in ghost
you forgot through the years.
As you trespass through time
while you are so young and so brave
yet so darkened this hole
of this lonely mans grave.
Yes somewhere in distance
from up under a tree
a dark spirit shall rise
break loose and be free.
Leaving behind
a soul with soiled stains
sealed up encrypted
with skeletal remains.
His two empty sockets
will stare up at the lid
forced to recollect
what the lonely man did.
Imprisoned eternal
six feet underground
with no rise of light
not one visitor found.
Yes somewhere in the distance
death-chilled to the bone
to be forever forgotten
and always alone !
Author's Notes: This poem was also written down at Edgar Allen Poes resting place - midnight whispers travel in many forms - we are just portals that listen to what we hear - capture them and then write them down - never ignore a whisper - its the only real vision that will guide you through the deception of this world we call life.
