Money in War

In the sand blood lays thin, and babies born by summers end,
In the rubble ancient symbols lost to trouble,
A million years of darkened hate,
and everyone not there enjoying thanksgivings plate,
100's death at the call of three, and all we think is so mote it be,
war the fighter and the fought at,
the teacher of the lost and the ones who are naught,
the walls are thick with glory's lost verdict,
When will it end, When will it end,
or do we have to kill off all including friends,
friends we have, friends we don't,
A nuclear threat to us, answers all but a joke,
Fire raining from the heavenly perch, genetics on the table to claim research,
are we worthy of the blood we spill, hundreds time form,
or is the dagger not ours to twirl,
Peace a reason, piece a face, for its not the fighters who are
fighting, but the "unseen messages" that they place.
peace, seek us, peace come one day,
or do all of living things in time give way,
"Dedicated poem to the fighters who had not needed to fight so blindly in the desert for the fact"
