Fluttered Feelings

I go on dreaming that one day the pain will end,
Hoping a false hope that their is someone out ther,
Waiting...for me.
Falling ...falling into the vast unknown,
And all I can see a clocks floating about me,
Reminding that I'm almost out of time.
Desperation now seems like a bright bud,
Within my chest about to burst into bloom,
Blinding all with pain and anguish,
Melting their eyes...
And as the emotion floods over their faces,
They finally understand...
They understand what I've been hinting to,
For all these years.
Fluttered feelings dance a ballet of death in this place,
Almost too hard to describe...
Purple skies that cry sweet-water tears,
Crystaline rivers that flow uphill,
Hardly able to distinguish dark from light,
And a graying sun that's not too bright...
But here I sit,
In all my gray-green splendor,
Wrapped in melancholy silk sheets of time,
Drapped in black and hazy purple satin,
With my head hung low,
Dripping tears on calassed palms.
But then off in the distance,
A pale blue figure is walking towards me,
His eyes piercing my mask of lies,
For once someone is seeing the true me,
But it doesn't last forever,
And time has once again fluttered by.
Standing before me,
His arms outstretched, ready for a embrace,
I shrink back not believing that this could be real,
No, it's all too good to be true,
No matter all the things me heart's telling me to feel.
My lover lowers his arms,
Falls to his knees and streams indigo tears,
Staining his perfect and still adoring face,
And cannot hold his burning love and passion,
Within himself any longer...
And bursts into flames.
Ashes lie on the torched earth where he used to be,
The wind begins to dance and sing,
Whispering that everything will be alright,
And that there will be others...
But I waited 16 years for this one to show,
How much longer do I have to wait?
When will I finally be happy?
