In the Hearts of Witches
by Soaring

The night is hot, the moon, it is covered,
The stars remain unseen,
I, an energy, werily hovered,
In darkness, shadows gleam,
Energy pure, or trully dilluted,
By cold negative ways,
Who can tell, but the witches recruited,
For the rest of their days,
Here lies the wisdom, of customs age-old,
Here lies real purity,
In the hearts of witches, faithful and bold,
Bound in security,
This has always been the divining rod,
The path is ever drawn,
The truth lies within the twice-horned God,
And the Goddess before dawn,
As it has ever been, so shall it be,
And energy divined,
As one or the other, there is the key,
And so there has it shined,
Here lies the wisdom, of customs age-old,
Here lies real purity,
In the hearts of witches, faithful and bold,
Bound in security.

Author's Notes: This poem is a little confusing, so I'm adding a footnote to it: When I describe witches here, I'm describing our relationship to the deities, and how our small spark of divinity relates us to them. It was meant to be beautiful, but there you go. I don't think I'm skilled enough to do anything so perfect that it correctly describes such a connection. But I hope you enjoy it and understand the thought behind it, at least!
