Why Don't You?

I feel your pain
dripping from your soul
like a garroted vein
stripped from service.
Long, dark nights
I have heard you calling
begging to be released
from your title
yet not knowing
the riddled path before you.
You are different
as am I.
Yet why do I see
the path before you
golden and unwavering?
How do I know that your service
is welcome and celebrated?
Why do you fight the obstacles
before you, rather than embrace and
understand that you cannot fight the world
with it's bigotries and hate?
Why do you see your path
as a pit of thorns and nettles
and your life as a sacrifical lamb?
Do you know that I celebrate who you are;
that I embrace all that you are;
that I believe you can and will be all that you can be;
that I see you for the Golden Warrior and Shaman;
that I love you in all that you do and in more ways than one.....?
You are different....as am I.
Yet I know these things to be true.....
Why don't you?
