Stunned...I Am

Stunned.....
I am.
Withdrawn and filled
with a pained fury
reckless with abandon
but not premise
upon the horizon of conjecture.
What more is there to say?
Shall I wallow in grief
and self-pity?
Pained....
I cry.
Devastated and numb
beyond heart's reasoning
whose continued rush
bathes this shell
where I dwell within.
What more can I do?
Shall I scream in rage
and defiance?
Defeated...
I stand.
Knowing and loving
still unconditionally
that heart's reasoning
touches you not.
What do to now?
Shall I turn and
walk away myself?
Hesitant...
I start.
Author's Notes: 8/5/04 - To my Dark Priest, whose crystal caverns have been my home for the last year....I remember and honor thee, and continue to love thee all the days of my life.
