Cat With No Name

Age Group: Adult
Up in the yard, one day came,
A stray cat with no name.
Into the bushes it scurried away,
So I couldn't look at its face.
Realizing it was wild,
I called to it like a child.
Hoping to one day tame,
This critter with no name.
I just assumed it was a male,
Although, it was rather hard to tell.
Each day I'd try to get close,
The cat would disappear, like a ghost.
Everyday I'd sit on my steps,
Calling out to this strange pet.
Hissing and Arching its back,
Frightened, I didn't know how to act.
One day it ran inside my house,
Running and hiding all about.
To my utter surprise,
It delivered one kitten with bright eyes.
