A Noble Ideal Betrayed

Age Group: Adult
Our culture is based on denial.
Festival of the Holy Blood. Magic Healing Powers.
Religious Festivals.
Rituals never change.
Cyclical repetition. Same everyday.
When the dead come back, it's a sort of relief
yet we know something is wrong.
It's uncomfortable.
We're not doing them any favors.
A fiendish resemblance.
Something infernal about this.
Hoping to be with them one day.
There's a counterfeit in this.
A fake.
Curiousity steps in. Passion.
Bells. Things that tell Time!
Propelling us into old age.
An eternity. A cycle. A repetition.
The same is somehow new.
Eternity is now!
Our culture is based on denial.
A noble ideal betrayed.
A crack. He's just like
everyone else.
