Unfilled belly

There are here stories undefined
histories that walk unknown
secret to the keys
to that balance wherein we stem
Grow and there in subtle remnants of being
Hold our faces, etch forth our tears.
There are inconsistencies that tread
the barriers of common thought
the promise of new horizons
that somehow, engulf us whole
into the unfilled belly of hunger and want.
