Awaiting My Prince [REWRITE, MUST READ]

Age Group: Teen
I sit alone in a dark room
Locked away in a tower
My prince is coming I assume
Though many solider's cower
Leaving me here out of fear of death
Waiting here threatens to still my last breath
A tear streams down my cheek
Where is my prince I seek
Feeling fires heat
I'm startled to my feet
Smoke now hurling in my face
Sobbing in panic my heart starts to race
I closed my eyes in fright
Praying for the arrival of my brave knight
Fainting as I begin to choke
My longing heart is broke
Through my slumber I heard a voice
Knowing the sound was unfilled with rejoice
Awakening to my surprize
Unknowing of why my hero cries
Trying to understand
I attempted to hold his hand
Unmoving I realized what brought such dread
It's easy to save a Princess if she's already dead
