My Daughter, My Granddaughter, My Path

Oh Mother bless my child
And her child here one soon day
Let them know their beauty
Let them know their Fae
Through them you have taught me
My lessons to this day
My Mother I have learned them
These lessons of the Fae
I learned the lesson “love”
When you sent my child from Fae
She found it deep within me
At her birth that winter day
I learned to spread the love
That she taught me at her birth
When I saw her sparkling eyes
In the children of the Earth
I learned to truly nurture
When with all I felt a part
As I held her close to me
And felt her beating heart
I learned again to wonder
At the beauty that I saw
When I looked in daugther’s eyes
And in there did find awe
I have found the magic
It makes me soar this day
It’s the magic of my daughter
It’s the magic of the Fae
No longer must I wonder
And ponder on the whys
For everything I need to be
Is in my daughter’s eyes
So thank you dearest Mother
For no more must I roam
You sent me dearest daughter
To show me my way home
And when you have decided
My lessons I have learned
I pray thee take me home again
Like I have so long yearned
Yes Mother bless my child
And her child here one soon day
Let them know their beauty
Let them too know their Fae
Author's Notes: To my beautiful daughter Kimberly who as of this writing (October 23, 2011) is pregnant with my granddaughter Chloe.
She doesn't yet fully know how magical and completely beautiful she is. I suspect Chloe will teach her just like she has taught me where to find that unconditional love and magic hidden deep inside me.
And to Chloe as well.
They are my path home, they are my Fae.
I love them completely.
