A Soul Awaits

Age Group: Adult
It wakes to find an emptiness,
It stretches its limbs to reach for contact,
It lifts its wings to take flight, but as in any birth it must learn.
It hears a beat, a heartbeat, it begins to rock and sway,
it is time to fly,
it steps off the edge, opens its wings and takes flight,
The soul has found life,
It no longer waits,
It is time to live!
