The Lady of Light

Age Group: Adult
Winter is waning, the sun has returned.
The time of the Greening, for which I have yearned;
Is surely upon us, our days fill with light.
Green of Her mantle, replace snowy white.
Give thanks to the Lady, of mane fiery red!
She wakes and She stretches and gets up from Her bed.
The time to be resting is over and through.
Shake off your slumber, begin life anew!
The Lady of Light sees out through the dark;
Rekindles the embers, sends out the first spark.
So let's do as She does, we would be so wise!
In the dawn of the springtime, opportunity lies!
Author's Notes: My thoughts on Imbolctide and Brighid. I sing it as a call and response chant.
