Awaken Thee Earth
by Vine of Terra
Age Group: Teen
The sun slowly slides into re-existence,
Her hands gently caress the dirt.
* * *
Every living thing seems to sense,
The land dries into rock.
* * *
All things living awaken,
They seem to strech and bloom in the wind.
* * *
The daisies shudder,
The roots convulse and the dirt turns to dust.
* * *
The aer blows the dust away,
The flowers are turned rusty in the scarlet wind.
* * *
The sirrus clouds scatter,
The cumulus roll in.
*
Drip.
Drip.
Drip.
*
The moon starts to cry,
The sun rushes to comfort her,
It is an eclipse.
* * *
Tears flow slowly until there are no more,
In the dark the flowers close,
The scarlet colour is gone.
* * *
The dirt is slightly wet,
And the flowers are asleep peacefully.
* * *
The terra is at rest.

Author's Notes: My poem is about how no matter how bad things may seem the outcome is a long way away.
Maybe it won't turn out as bad as you think.
